Mobile Triage application that is 100% correct, fast and saves lives.
When patients arrive at busy Emergency Centres, its vitally important that they are quickly screened and prioritized appropriately, such that these needing urgent attention are seen immediately. Triage is a process prioritizing patients. Unfortunately patients are often triaged incorrectly, or triage takes very long. This leads to patients dying in Emergency Rooms and and long waiting queues. Research from the Western Cape in South Africa shows that as many as 1 in 4 patients in some settings may be incorrectly triaged. The South African Triage Scale (SATS) is a triaging system used across South Africa and in 14 other countries in the developing world. It employs algorithms and mathematical scores to calculate illness levels. Typically nurses calculate the score based on paper charts, or from memory. This leads to errors.
