Ihab Hinnawi. Chief Executive Officer, Ihab Hinnawi joined Umniah as the Chief Executive Officer in 2009, drawing upon over 20 years of extensive managerial experience to lead the company’s industry-pioneering operations. Prior to assuming his new position at Umniah, Hinnawi joined Batelco Bahrain in 2009 as General Manager of the Enterprise Division, directing the sales, service and marketing operations of Batelco’s solutions portfolio. In 2007, Hinnawi held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Batelco Jordan, where he successfully set the strategic direction of the company, achieving considerable transformational turnarounds and augmenting Batelco’s commercial success by garnering greater gross profits and customer satisfaction. Before joining Batelco, Hinnawi helped establish Umniah in 2004 within his capacity as a key member of its initial management team, and continued to work at Umniah until 2007 as its Operations Director.
Hinnawi held several senior positions over the years, the most notable was his role as General Manager at Nuqul Group. His repertoire of key expertise includes growing revenue, leading change management, developing new businesses, managing high stake negotiations, strategic planning, key partnership development, corporate and marketing strategy development, risk management, and organizational restructuring.

Joe Neale, Principal, m8 Capital. Capital is a London based VC firm focusing solely on investing into mobile technology across the globe. m8 Capital’s investment include Masabi, Evernote, Noom, Fuller, Portalarium, 955 Dreams, Rummble Labs and Aylus Networks.

Mark Waechter, Mobile Strategy Consultant, MWC.mobi. Mark Waechter, aged 48, is marketer with many years professional and leadership experience in the areas of FMCG (Unilever), Internet (UUNET, WorldCom) and Wireless (T-Mobile). In May 2005 he founded MWC.mobi, a worldwide active management consultancy focusing on Mobile Strategy Development and served clients in over 30 countries on four continents in the past years. Mark is head of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) in Germany (locally known as BVDW Section Mobile) and member of MMAs Board of Directors. Mark has been part of the founding team of MobileMonday Germany in 2006 and since then is Co-Chairman of the association with 5 chapters live and running. 2008 he became member of WIP, a globally connected Wireless Industry Partnership. In 2009 he joined the advisory board of MOCOM2020 and in 2011 he got partner of the METRO GROUP Future Store Initiative as well as member of the Advisory Board of the GS1 Germany MobileCom. Since September 2013 he chairs the advisory board of Germany’s first Master Degree Program in Mobile Marketing at Leipzig School of Media. Over the past years Mark became a globally well respected Mobile Media Evangelist and Strategist.

Pablo Rodriguez is the Director of Research and Innovation and Head of the Barcelona R&D lab at Telefonica Digital. He is also adjunct Professor at the department of computer science at Columbia University (New York) where he teaches Social Networks and Distributed Systems. With over 15 years of international background in ICT, Pablo has developed his career in the United States as a software architect and entrepreneur in three Silicon Valley start-ups (Inktomi, the search engine of MSN, Yahoo and AOL for more than five years; Netli and Tahoe Networks). He has also worked at Microsoft Research in Cambridge, where he was involved in the design of the Microsoft’s Windows Update system to secure more than 300 million computers, and at Bell-Labs in New Jersey where he made fundamental contributions to P2P networks and mobile computing.
As a result of his work, Pablo has more than 100 scientific publications and patents. He received various international awards for his work, including the IMC/ACM and WWW award, and the “Prix de la Recherche” for innovation excellence in France. He has oftentimes keynoted alongside the Internet pioneers regarding Future Internet architectures. Pablo received his PhD in Computer Science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) and an MSc in Computational physics from King´s College, London.
In his current position, he tries to push Internet thinking in new sectors of the economy. Some of such efforts include working with El Bulli Foundation to introduce technology in the area of nouvelle cuisine or working with the Barcelona Football Club defining future strategies for soccer playing. At his core, Pablo is an activist and a peer-progressive.

Toni Raurich, Booking.com. BSc in Communication and in Business Administration by the University of Barcelona. Toni is currently head of Strategic Partnerships in the Europe, Middle East and Africa for a Priceline company, Booking.com, that is the global leader for accommodations online, with over 550.000 roomnights per day.
Before he worked in eMagister, part of Grupo Intercom, a Barcelona based business incubator created in 1995 and with companies in its portfolio like Infojobs.net (sold to Schibsted), Niumba (sold to TripAdvisor) or Softonic.com (partially sold to Digital River, Partners Group), and also investor in A series rounds in BuyVIP.com (sold to Amazon).

Scott ApelandDirector, Intel Developer Program. Scott  currently leads the Intel Developer Program and is responsible for defining and delivering programs and services for software developers world-wide. His responsibilities include developer engagement, technical support, marketing and outreach, community building and app validation for the Intel Developer Zone and the Intel AppUp Developer Program.  The Intel Developer Zone is global program where developers engage with Intel for all things software – from development to distribution. Intel Developer Zone is the global program to engage with Intel for all things software – from development to distribution.
Scott joined Intel in 1991 and prior to his current role was responsible for managing new product development, roadmap strategies and partner initiatives in the Video Conferencing Division, Internet Media Streaming Division and Embedded Controller Division.

Working across governments, international media and local community groups, Di-Ann spearheads the company’s global initiatives to make connected cities a reality. She is a neogeography pioneer and serial entrepreneur employing all means to increase the world’s citizen mappers. Prior to Waze, Di-Ann was Co-Founder and CEO of Platial, a widely adopted mobile and online social mapping service funded by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Ram Shriram and others. She holds a BS in Studio Art and Business Administration from New York University.

Andy Abramson is the founder of Comunicano, Inc., a full-service value creation communications agency, servicing start-ups, companies in transition and established brands with regard to marketing, advertising, public relations, promotion, events and reputation management. A veteran of the marketing and public relations industry with over 39 years of experience in all facets of marketing and corporate communications, Andy started his career in the marketing department of a professional sports team at age 14 and has been at it ever since. Since then he has held a series of front line marketing and communications managerial roles with three professional teams including the Philadelphia Wings, Philadelphia Flyers and Denver Nuggets, followed by roles in senior account management within the Foote, Cone and Belding/Impact and guiding the public relations and sports marketing for The Upper Deck Company, before founding Comunicano in 1992.

James Parton is Twilio’s Director of European Marketing. James brings over 20 years experience of working at the intersection of telecommunications and the web;covering marketing, product development, product management and sales. In addition James is an active contributor to the wider tech and marketing community. He mentors at various Startup Accelerators across Europe including TechStars London, and co-hosted HashBang.TV a video show that profiled the UK’s leading tech community personalities. James was the founding chair of the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Technology Interest Group, and served a successful two year term as a global board director of MEF, the global trade association for companies wishing to monetize their products & services via mobile.

Simon Lee, Co-Founder and Chief Design officer at Incubio. Simon is creative designer specialized in envisioning, conceptualizing and executing new products and services with a strong technology background always targeting end users. Driven by technology, he is always pursuing the sense of technical improvements and how these affect human interactions. Simon worked in the award winning Spanish mobile game developer Digital Legends Entertainment (Top100 Most Innovative European Company in 2012 by RedHerring) as Chief Design Officer. He has been working in the mobile industry for 11 years

Heike Scholz is speaker, blogger, publisher and working as an independent consultant and strategic advisor in the mobile industry. Her main focus is on business development, product strategies and marketing of innovative solutions for the emerging mobile markets.

Raj Singh is the Founder and CEO of Tempo AI focused on developing a smart calendar. Tempo AI was spun-out of SRI (Stanford Research Institute) where Raj served as an EIR (Entrepreneur in Residence). Previously, Raj was the founding Vice President of Business Development for Skyfire (now part of Opera Software), a mobile browser that supports full Flash rendering. Prior to Skyfire, Raj co-founded venture-funded Veeker, NBC’s mobile video citizen journalism service and ToneThis, CNET’s top downloaded ringtone creation product.

Bernat Guitart, is the CEO at AppFutura.com. Senior Computer Engineer certificated in project management, was project manager and head of Internet business at Infonomia.com, Marcom director at Santa & Cole and COO at AndroidZoom.com.

Petra Vorsteher, EVP Strategic Alliances & Co-founder, Smaato. Petra has over 18 years of business development experience in the US and Europe. She was VP of Business Development and Strategic Alliances at Intershop Communications, Inc. with responsibility for all strategic, business and technical partnerships globally. As founding member of Intershop, Petra was instrumental in growing the company from a start-up to a publicly listed company with a market cap of $12B and worldwide offices in Europe, Asia, Australia and South America.
She was largely responsible for Intershop’s $25M licensing deal with Deutsche Telekom and their subsequent investment in the company. Petra has formed partnerships with IBM, HP, Apple, Intel, SAP, Oracle, Procter & Gamble, eBay,Visa, FedEx, UPS and major telecommunication companies including AT & T,Sprint, Telstra, Hong Kong Telecom, France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom. Jouni Laine is the Director, Enterprise Mobility at Tieto.  Jouni has a strong technical background, working in telecom and internet business for over 13 years and having a deep understanding of IT systems, new emerging technologies and how IT can enable better business. As a consultant he has worked in different industrial segments such as telecom, media, public, energy, retail, government, banking and insurance.

Marc Cardenete is a Project Manager at Worldline, a company of the Atos group. He has over 8 years of experience in the mobile industry, where he has collaborated in the development of several mobile-related projects. He is currently working in the business development department, where he is managing different innovation and research projects. Marc holds a Msc. in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and an MBA from ESADE Business School.

Dionis Guzman is a Mobile Entrepreneur, Business Accelerator and Teacher with a touch of Creative Visionary. In 2010 he co-founded wöwbile, a mobile marketing agency to help companies and organizations to utilize the mobile marketing channel to create, develop and capitalize on their customer relations delivering mobile marketing campaigns based primarily on applications, m-couponing, LBS (location based services) and augmented reality. In January 2013 his new start-up Verbia is launched being the first Spain based communication and marketing consultancy specializing in the app environment and mobility industry.
