16 apps from around the world are ready to compete at the tenth Mobile Premier Awards

On February 22 The Mobile Premier Awards (MPAs) are to be held at the Sala Apolo in Barcelona where 16 unique mobile applications from 12 global cities are vying for three awards. These are: Best App Award, for best overall app; Best Audience Award as most voted by the public, and the Big Impact Award, for the application which could have the greatest impact on the day-to-day lives of people. Besides the competition the MPAs will also feature a keynote from Intel’s EMEA Director Cristina Segal, as well as presentations by representatives from Twitter, The Next Web, Runtastic and Pandora who’ll discuss their success stories and provide advice and ideas to developers on how to pursue their goals.

To celebrate this very special tenth edition of the MPAs, as well a decade supporting the global developer community, the gala’s theme will be Hollywood glamour and the magic of cinema.  Running since 2007, the Mobile Premier Awards has become the biggest apps competition in the mobile industry, all taking place during the first day of the Mobile World Congress. This year the MPAs are sponsored by Intel and Twitter; with The Huffington Post, Mprende, Difoosion, Solo App, Social Pulse and PickASO as media partners, plus support Myworkup.
